Konversion zwischen Syntax und Lexikon im Französischen und Italienischen

The project investigates the phenomenon of conversion (i.e. the use of one morphological form with different part of speech values). The aim is to clarify to what extent we can account for various types of conversion in French and Italian as lexical or syntactic phenomena. In addition to a theoretical characterization of the various types of conversion, the project is concerned with determining the cognitive reality of the different conversion types. To this aim, we make appeal to a series of various psycholinguistic experiments.
